Your Writeful Muse
Ahhh, spring is finally in the air, I think? Well, there’s a spring in our step and click pen as we type and write our hearts out-but these daffodils are gorgeous. Maryland has really thrown us through a loop with all the back and forth weather.
Hopefully spring remains for good! I can’t tell you how relaxing it is to just sit outside, listen to the soft breeze, hustle of leaves floating among trees; possibly thumps from baby bunnies. Talk about mental clarity and wellness, I thank God for His creation, don’t forget to take a few minutes today and enjoy it.
Easter Sunday Greetings
He arose! Thank Him! So often as a Christian I tend to neglect thanking God for not only sending His only Son to be crucified, but that He overcame that dark, cold desperate place of a grave. No matter how low you may go, there is always hope, for He has already been there, tomorrow.
At Easter service last Sunday, the choir sung this beautiful song, of course, I balled my eyes out at the part where they sung “don’t cry, wipe your eyes, He’s not dead.” After the third time I sighed in relief, oh good that stanza is done.
Nope, about what seemed like 6 more times they harmonized, like the sweet birds chirping outside as I write right now in our front yard. Mental Health is a difficult journey for some of us. But, from which vantage point does the light shine and reflect at it’s brightest in the picture above?
The Maryland Layering Game
What are you wearing today? Has anyone else mowed in shorts while it’s 40* out?
So crazy, so next work week, looks like temps range from 75-50,*as always subject to retraction.😊
Behold the Comedic Lawn gods
The first big lawn day of the season arrived, and with it, the family tradition of underestimating the incredible hulk-like physique required to plow down the thick turf. Reminds me of the movie, “Honey I Shrunk the Kids.”
We were bobbing out of bumble bees’ territory, stepping in five missed piles of warm, fresh, stinky slick dog 💩.

On a more personal Mr. Pen note, I’d like to briefly share a story regarding clarity of mind through writing. It hit me at 2AM, the Lord cuing me to read my Bible for the day as I had neglected.
I was so engulfed with the day, social media marketing, backlinking, coding, questioning all my impressions…What is up with this obsession? RSS, CMS, LLS, I needed to get ‘embed.
This song came into my head, “I try so hard and got so far, but in the end, it doesn’t even matter.” -Linkin Park
But, that’s so untrue, it does matter, I matter, you matter, life matters.
It’s so easy to get distracted by media channels, the pressure to grow, promote content, overcoming problems at 2AM, etc…but after writing out all the chaos I realized, this isn’t what I signed up for.
So, we’re closing up a bit earlier today and I encourage you to take pause, deep breathe and healthfully pen what matters the most; even if it is only on a few Mr. Pen sticky notes.
This verse helped me refocus on the Lord and the mission He has in store.
1 John2:17
“The world passeth away…but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
